This year Nicole was pregnant with Oliver. We were not sure if we were going to be able to go. After talking with her doctor and looking at the rules of cruising while pregnant, she was in the clear.
This year we had a super bowl pre party that allowed us to get on the boat a day early. The sail away band was Chevelle with Zakk Wylde opening it up with the national anthem. Got to watch the Super Bowl on the big screens and had our own private halftime show. Wilson knows how to keep the party going. After the game, Sevendust closed out the night. The next day we went back to port and picked up everyone else that did not join us for the pre party.
Day 1
Limp Bizkit was the sail away band to start the party off for the cruise. The bands to follow for the day were Filter, Cilver, Sidewise, Tremonti, Andrew W.K., Lacuna Coil, Buckcherry, Letters From The Fire, Gemini Syndrome, and Nonpoint to end the night then Dj Lippy was the after party.
Day 2
Port at Great Stirrup Cay
Nothing better than being on a beach rocking out to some good music, Thousand Foot Kruth played the beach stage. After a long day in the sun, we got back on the boat. The rest of the night was packed with some great shows. We went to Icon For Hire on the deck stage, followed by Sevendust and we finished the night out with Otherwise in the Theater. Other bands that played were Metal Allegiance, Crobot, Wilson, Zach Myers, Black Label Society and Daybreak Embrace. Andy wood karaoke was in the Atrium along with DJ Lippy to close out the night.
Day 3
Port at Great Stirrup Cay
Got to have another day on the island with more bands. Today Nonpoint was the first band to play on the beach stage. Then P.OD. finished the beach party. We got back on the boat and headed to the deck stage to check out Buckcherry followed up with Andrew W.K. then we headed to the Spinnaker Lounge to see Cilver. We closed out the night with Sevendust, they never let us down, they put on a great show. For one of the songs, they had Elias(Nonpoint) and Aaron (Gemini Syndrome) join them on the stage to sing Angel Son. This is just stuff you don't get to see on land, and it was so emotional.
Day 4
Day at Sea
Otherwise started off the day on the deck stage followed up with Thousand Foot Krutch. We then headed to the theater to check out part of Gemini Syndrome after that back to the deck stage for Tremonti. We closed out the night with Limp Bizkit. It was the last night of the trip and we tried to stay up and enjoy every last minute.
Every year we don't want the trip to end but all good things must end and then time to start planning for Shiprocked 2016
Note: We did not make 2016 because we had Oliver in June 2015 so we planned on getting back on in 2017
